Who is responsible?

ExchangeSchema is operated by Schema Holdings Ltd, company number 17487412, registered in the United Kingdom. Our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

For privacy questions or requests, email contact@exchangeschema.com.

Registering your interest

If you register, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide them, your first name and comments. We also record your email preferences, the consent wording shown, the registration time and whether and when you confirmed your email address.

We use this information to confirm your registration, tell you when ExchangeSchema launches, understand interest in the product and respond to questions you submit. We send occasional product-update emails only if you separately choose them. Please do not put sensitive personal information in the comments box.

We rely on your consent for launch and product-update emails. Providing your details is voluntary; you do not have to register to browse this website. We rely on our legitimate interests in understanding product enquiries and answering your questions to use comments you choose to send us.

Email confirmation and your choices

We send a confirmation email before adding your address to our confirmed contact list. The confirmation link expires after 48 hours. Opening the link alone does not confirm registration: you review your details and press the confirmation button.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link provided with our launch or product-update emails, the withdrawal link shown after confirmation, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. An enquiry does not subscribe you to additional marketing beyond your recorded choices.

Storage, service providers and access

Registration details are held in a private database on our website hosting account. Hostinger provides the website hosting; our business email provider delivers confirmation and notification emails. These providers process information as needed to supply their services. Authorised personnel at Schema Holdings Ltd can review the register and export it for the purposes described above. We do not sell your contact details.

Service providers may process information in countries outside the UK. You can contact us for information about the providers, processing locations and applicable international transfer safeguards.

How long we keep information

Unconfirmed registrations are scheduled for removal after seven days. Confirmed registration details and comments are scheduled for removal 12 months after confirmation, unless you withdraw earlier. Expired records are removed during the next register request or scheduled maintenance run.

On withdrawal, we remove your email address, name and comments from the register. We retain a minimal coded email fingerprint and withdrawal/consent record while we operate the list, to help honour your choice. Technical backups and any earlier authorised exports may take longer to be updated; contact us if you need your details removed from those copies.

Website security and cookies

Our registration system uses short-lived, coded network identifiers and request counts to limit spam and repeated attempts. It does not add IP addresses to contact records. These rate-limit records expire within an hour and are removed at the next register request. Hosting and email providers may keep separate technical logs to operate and protect their services.

Opening the registration form uses an essential session cookie to protect form submissions. A session cookie is also used for the private administrator login. These are not advertising cookies.

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand overall website usage, such as page views, referral sources and broad device or country statistics. Plausible describes its standard analytics as cookie-free and designed not to store IP addresses or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not send registration email addresses, names or comments to Plausible. Analytics are not loaded on registration confirmation, unsubscribe or administrator pages.

Read Plausible’s data policy for details.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and obtain information you provided in a portable format where that right applies. You can withdraw email consent at any time. Contact us using the address above.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

We do not use this registration system to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
